biography  

Resat was born in Düsseldorf – Germany and attended Heinrich-Heine-University, where he graduated with a BSc in Chemistry in 2012. His final year research project focused on photo electron spectroscopy on organic surfaces in the group of Prof. Rainer Weinkauf. After that, he undertook an MSc in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Warwick, graduating in 2013. He completed his MSc project under the supervision of Prof. Rachel O’Reilly, working on the synthesis of fluorescent polymers and non-natural amino acids.

In October 2013, he started a joint PhD under the supervision of Dr. Remzi Becer and Prof. Marina Resmini at Queen Mary, University of London, which is funded by the Materials Research Institute. His project involves the synthesis of sequence controlled star shaped glycopolymers and targeted drug delivery.
